Martha L. Martinez, who serves as clinic director of operations, has been a part of the Mercy family for most of her professional career.  She has served as director since the clinic’s inception in 1993.

As clinic director, she manages the day-to-day operations of the clinic with a focus on always meeting Mercy Service Standards.  Since 2001, she has also been a clinical instructor at the Canseco School of Nursing at Texas A&M International University.

Martha, who has three children, received her Bachelor’s degree from Corpus Christi State University and her Master’s in Women’s Health from the University Health Science Center at San Antonio.  She has been active with the March of Dimes and worked with the Laredo All Stars in fundraising efforts for breast cancer awareness and treatment.

 “My work at MML affords me the opportunity to provide healthcare to women of different ages with different medical needs,” said Martinez.  “We are able to improve lives one person at a time.  It is an honor to co-minster with the Sisters of Mercy.”
